6. That will vary from vehicle to vehicle and the type of repair. In most cases however, we do ask to keep your vehicle for a full day i.e. 9am - 6pm.
This is because unless previously requested, we are unsure of the time your vehicle will enter our workshop and this is generally determined by the following factors:
- Availability of parts, equipment failure, demand on the actual day of repair - (as with seats on airplanes, we need to continuously overbook in order to compensate for false bookings and last minute cancellations) an any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
- We also never know what extra work you will require, once your vehicle has been inspected, It may be you will request additional work to be carried out and this will of course have been unforeseen and may delay you or the next customer, and so on.
- Lastly, nuts, bolts, etc have a habit of seizing/snapping once they are a few years old which can extend the length of repair considerably without notice.
So, please be understanding as we will endeavor to keep you informed where possible.
